Top Tips
1 This airport is always busy especially Terminals 1 and 2. If arriving, prepare for long queues as visas are also given at the immigration area.
2 There are three banks in the airport. The Thai Military Bank on the ground floor of Central Block, the Bangkok Bank on the 2nd floor of Terminal 2 and the Krung Thai Bank on the 2nd floor of Terminal 1. 3 Shuttle buses are available to take you across the terminals.
4 Jump on a train at the Don Muang train station not far from the arrivals hall of Terminal 1. Trains run to Hua Lumpong railway station in central Bangkok, which acts as a hub for the rest of the country. They run frequently in the morning but you may have to wait up to an hour throughout the day to catch a train.
5 Park your vehicle at the four-storey Car Park Building and an air-conditioned shuttle bus will take you to the terminal free of cost.
6 Use only a metered taxi and you will pay the fare and tolls only. Unlicensed taxis can lead to you being robbed or worse. If you do decide to try one, negotiate the fare before entering.
7 Check the Limousine counters at Terminals 1 and 2 arrivals halls to get your special ride out of the airport.
8 If you are in transit or plan to stay in Bangkok, there are several quality hotels just minutes away from the airport in the heart of the business and entertainment district. get there by bus, train or taxi.
9 On the fourth floor of terminal 2, check out the Brewhouse Restaurant, which serves English fried breakfasts 24/7, as well as a Chinese restaurant and a cafe, which offer Internet access.
10 From cafes to bars and restaurants, you will find a wide selection at Terminal 2 on the fourth floor.
