Top Tips
1 MBTA Silver Line route #1, MBTA Blue Line and MBTA Commuter Ferry all take you to the airport where you can connect to shuttles except for the Silver Line which goes to all the terminals.
2 Boston airport is easily accessible by car from downtown barring traffic conditions which could add an extra 15 minutes to your trip. Public transportation takes you to the airport as well.
3 The hotels located on airport property are the Hilton Boston Logan Airport and the Hyatt Harborside. The Hilton Boston Logan Airport has beautifully appointed guest rooms with a direct connection via an enclosed sky bridge to Boston Logan's terminals as well as round-the-clock, complimentary shuttle service to all airline terminals, subway station and water taxi
4 All rental car companies serving Boston Logan now operate out of a consolidated Rental Car Center (RCC) which is easily accessible by shuttle.
5 Be prepared to pay a toll upon leaving the airport at the Tobin Bridge, The Sumner tunnel or the Ted Williams Tunnel.
6 To circumvent the toll, you have to head north and go through the local neighborhoods then head south. You may come upon construction zones and pot holes. Isn't worth it.
7 If you're arriving in to Boston and heading to anywhere along the Green Line, keep in kind that Government Center station (for transfers between blue and green) is closed. Instead, take the Massport shuttle to Copley or Hynes convention center.
8 The closer you park to your terminal, the more expensive the rate is. Rates start at $18 per day for economy lots. Free shuttle. Regular rate lots closer to the terminals start at $27 per day. Massport maintains a Logan Parking Conditions website; It is wise to use it.
9 It gets crowded during the holidays so print your boarding passes and tickets from home if you can in order to avoid long lines at the check-in areas.
