1 Gets really busy in the mornings from 6 a.m. -- 8 a.m. Escape this by using the Southwest Airlines and AirTran customers A or B Concourse checkpoints. You can also do a TSA PreCheck: Checkpoint D (Delta, United, US Airways).

3 Most affordable way to get out of the airport is via MTA light rail to Downtown Baltimore which will cost $1.60 and takes about 45 minutes. Amtrak and MARC trains also serve BWI.
4 If you want to leave and reach your destination quickly,Take a taxi to Baltimore Inner Harbor for about $35 in about 20 minutes. Fare to Downtown D.C. is about $90.
5 45-minute sessions of complimentary Wi-Fi are available and charging stations are in the terminals at concourses A and B.
6 There are many great local dining options inside the airport.
7 If you are traveling with the family, visit the refurbished observation gallery with aviation exhibits, charging stations and a children's play area.
8 At the upper level of the terminal, check out the food/beverage concession (Sky Azure) serving small plates, beer, wine and cocktails.
9 A nice and easily accessible layover option is the Thomas Dixon Airport Observation Park on the southern edge of the airport.
