Top Tips
1 This airport gets really busy on Thursday afternoons and Monday mornings. There is TSA PreCheck available for all carriers to help avoid the rush.
2 The best parking is Curbside valet, $19/day. Business valet: $10/day with a short shuttle ride to the terminal. $7/day. Most affordable option is Long term parking, $5/day. Cellphone lot has 52-spaces to the east of Daily Parking.
3 Approved Airport Taxi to downtown will cost $25 flat rate.Shared shuttle vans are also available.
4 Pay only $2 from the airport when you take the CATS (Charlotte Area Transit System) Sprinter service to CLT.
5 Free WiFi and free charging stations across the terminals.
6 The newsstands offer great local souvenirs.
7 For all your business, travel and mailing needs, visit Travelex at the Atrium and Concourse D.
8 If you are awaiting your flight, visit the Atrium for one of many impromptu or scheduled concerts held there.The balcony above the atrium gives a great view of the terminal crossroads and the south airfield.
9 If you are on layover, visit the The Queen's Courtyard, in front of the terminal, which has large reflecting pool and a 15-foot statue of Queen Charlotte.
10 While you wait, visit The Carolinas Aviation Museum which is adjacent to the airport. The U.S. National Whitewater Center is just a few minutes drive from the airport.
