1 You can get taxis from outside the King Abdulaziz Airport Jeddah. Taxi rates are fixed and the passenger has the right to ask about and confirm the taxi fare before the journey begins. Taxi drivers are not allowed to solicit passengers inside the terminal building.
2 Both the buses and the limousines provide transportation to Jeddah, Makkah and Medina. The limousine offers fixed rates according to the distance to various residential and business areas.
3 The South Terminal of the King Abdulaziz Airport Jeddah features two public restaurants and a 60-room hotel, which is located about 100 meters east of the main entrance in the Arrivals level.
4 The facilities on offer at the Hajj Terminal for pilgrims include prayer areas, rest areas, banks, currency exchanges, post office, telephone facilities, markets, restaurants, general information desks, airline information counters, medical clinic and first-aid services.
5 If you are on layover at JED airport and wish to stay off property, Moevenpick Resort Al Nawras Jeddah is located only 6.3 miles from the airport and has a lot of amenities for your comfort.
6 The North Terminal has 14 departure gates, a cafeteria in the Departure lounge beyond the passport counter and a restaurant at the terminal's main entrance.
7 Don't worry about being held up during check in at JED. The airport is spacious and getting through security just takes minutes. The South Terminal is designed to accommodate 2500 passengers per hour and serves all scheduled domestic and international flights of Saudi Arabia.
8 Le Jeddah Meridien is another great layover option. It is situated along Al Madinah Road, only 15 minutes from King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Le Jeddah Meridien lies in a residential area, in the heart of the main business and shopping districts. The hotel features a full range of business and leisure facilities.
9 There is a trolley service (for arriving and departing passengers) at the South and North Terminals.
10 Plans have been made for a high-speed rail link to serve the airport. It will start at at Prince Majed Street, straight to the airport and link with the terminals.
