1 If you exceed your baggage restrictions The Excess Baggage Company will protect your bags while you are away. They charge £8 per item per 24 hours. Baggage Storage counters also offer Luggage Shipping and Courier, as well as Bag Wrap and new Luggage and Travel Goods, at discount prices.
2 Do not use short stay parking for more than five hours or it will prove very costly. Business Parking is recommended for travelers parking for up to three or four days, or those wanting greater speed and convenience £21.50 - £26.50 per day.
3 Toilet facilities are located throughout the terminals at Heathrow Airport, both in arrivals and departures. There are also unisex wheelchair-accessible toilets available. You can find showers after security in Terminal 4 and in some of the airlines' own lounges.
4 There are many taxi services to and from the airport but Airport Pickups London and London Heathrow Cars will offer you fixed prices with no additional costs to most destinations.
5 If there is something you need to know or need help with, then a customer service desk is located at every terminal for your convenience.
6 If you are traveling with children, there is a family lounge at terminal 3 with a wide array of amenities for adults and children alike plus free WiFi. The lounge costs £30 per adult and £15 per child for bookings made in advance.
7 There are currency exchange facilities and ATMs at the departure and arrival areas of all the terminals.
8 The airport chapel is located between terminals 1 and 3 and is equipped with a multi-faith prayer room.
9 Boots chemists are available in all terminals, before and after security check.. You can get medicine over the counter or obtain prescribed medicine, only in branches before security in Terminal 1 and 5.
10 Prepare for some delay at security checkpoints due to enhanced security measures. Try to arrive earlier if possible.
