1 Can be very chaotic especially during peak hours. You are likely to encounter congestion at Concourse D's four checkpoints from 5:30 to 8 a.m. and 2 - 4 p.m. You can use the post-security connector to Concourse D just past the Concourse E checkpoint. A skytrain now runs the entire Concourse D one mile stretch.
2 Airport Economy Park & Ride costs $8/day and is the least expensive. A Cellphone lot is located off LeJeune Road and N.W. 31st St., with 60 spots.
3 Most comfortable way out is via Taxi. To downtown, $22, to Port of Miami, $24 flat rate and to South Miami Beach, $32 flat rate. Least expensive way is the Metrorail Orange Line service which runs from MIA to downtown Miami in 15 minutes for $2. Take MIA people mover from MIA to the Airport Metrorail Station. Airport Flyer express bus service from MIA to Miami Beach cost $2.35 between 6 a.m....
4 No free Wi-Fi here. Boingo and other paid Wi-Fi services are available. Forty power outlets/charging stations are distributed throughout the airport.
5 Top choices for shopping are Havana to Go for crafts, Britto's Art Store and Havana Nines for clothing.
6 For layover locations, jump on a bus (route 37) to Coral Gables' and visit the Miracle Mile commercial district. You can also take a shuttle bus (route No. 10) to Dolphin Mall for shopping, dining and 19 movie theaters.
7 There are several pet relief areas throughout the airport.
8 Check out the art and culture exhibitions featuring site specific art, and two huge historic murals by Brazilian artist Caryb.
9 Several local food stores offering multiple delicious options are available at every concourse.
