Taxis at ORF are located just outside the baggage claim lobby. They're ready to leave as soon as your luggage is loaded. Service is provided directly to your destination. Five persons can ride for the price of one as long as they are going to the same destination. Payment may be made by cash, and in some instances credit cards and corporate charge accounts are available.

The shuttle service is operated by James River Transportation at reasonable rates to the entire area. Professional uniformed drivers provide service with new Ford Flex vehicles. All vehicles are equipped with GPS satellite tracking and surveillance cameras for added safety and security. Advance reservations are not required for arriving passengers.Wheelchair accessible vehicles on request.

Lost and Found departments are maintained by the Norfolk Airport Police Department, the airlines and the TSA. For items lost within the airport terminals, contact Norfolk Airport Authority Police at 757-857-3223. For items lost at the security screening areas, contact the TSA at 757-858-5602.
For items lost aboard the aircraft, contact the airlines.

Special ramps to accommodate wheelchair travel are located at both short-term parking lots flanking the airport terminal as well as long-term parking lots and garages. Also convenient parking spaces are reserved for the handicapped in all parking lots and garages.

A great layover option is a visit to Fort Norfolk at 810 Front St, Norfolk, VA 23508 · 757-625-1720. It is a historic site of the last surviving fort from the Revolutionary War. An important fortress during the Civil War because it changed hands twice and provided Confederate ammunition during the Merrimac-Monitor battle.

ORF provides an expansive USO Welcome Center on the second level of the Arrivals Terminal (baggage claim). The lounge, available for use by active duty and retired military and their families, is a place to relax, read, watch television, play games, grab a snack and access the internet. Military Information Booth is Located on the first level of the Arrivals Terminal (baggage claim), near the rental car counters and is manned by uniformed naval personnel providing anyone with local information, and can assist incoming military with questions regarding ground transportation to local bases.
