Taxi fare is pretty steep at $40 but it takes about half the time as the metro. The Seattle Downtown Airporter costs $11 or $18 round trip. A Shared shuttle van costs $30.

If you prefer ready access to the terminal then your best parking option is Terminal Direct: 4th floor of parking garage at the Sky Bridge level for $35/day or $4/hour.

The most affordable way to get out of the airport is via Metro Transit or Sound Transit Light Rail at a cost of $2.50. The station is joined to the fourth floor of the airport garage but the walkway is pretty long, although covered. Just over half an hour to get into the city.

Great news for those of you who can't separate from your gadgets, Free Wi-Fi is available everywhere in the airport. Charger kiosks come with a fee however on each concourse and the main terminal. Free, extra power outlets are being placed in all concourses.

On a layover, check out the Museum of Flight which is home to the first Air Force One and many other aircraft. It also has the Red Barn which is where Boeing was conceptualized. Only a few minutes by taxi.
